Made of polycarbonate, the most durable clear plastic available and the same material used for bulletproof glasses. While the tubes are technically 1"OD and 7/8"ID, we have our tubing custom extruded to ensure that it meets our specs, as the difference of 5/1000ths of an inch can mean that the tubing is too tight or too loose! All the tubing is prepped in-house, which involves size-testing, cutting the tubing down, punching holes and deburring the edges and blowing off all the shavings and dust for a smooth, clean finish. All the jigs and many of the tools were developed and made in-house.
Flowdart Leash Cord
We offer 3 different types of dart cord - see differences below to determine the best rope for your style.
Braided cotton rope:
A light-weight, no-stretch 100% cotton braided cord recommended by the Rope Dart Academy for optimal dart use. This #6 cotton cord maintains consistent grip even with sweat, and after a brief initial break-in period, offers the ideal amount of friction for dart use for a long time compared to alternatives. Features a 3/16" diameter. Each foot weighs ~2g.
Dragon rope X (+$40):
This 3/16" premium rope, made by our friends at Dark Monk, is made from a slick & durable synthetic fiber used extensively by NASA. Super smooth and abrasion-resistant, it is also extremely durable, able to withstand temperatures up to 300°F! Splicing fids are recommended for hardware connection rather than knots; your Dragon Rope X dart rope will come with a pre-finished assembly for easy installation to the included dart loop.
1-pc Staff Length (with flowcaps)
Choose your martial staff length from the drop-down menu. 1-pc staffs are available in (generally) as many length options as we offer polycarbonate tube lengths. All flowtoys tubes are 1" outer diameter and 7/8" inner diameter. These staffs are optimized with woodcore. The length of the woodcore will depend on your chosen overall staff length. Please refer to the table below.
Woodcore: These staffs are made with a woodcore, and the length of the woodcore will depend on your chosen overall staff length. These staffs need a long enough woodcore to remain rigid (at least 3F length woodcore), so they are offered in limited lengths.
Tubes are measured in flowlight lengths, e.g. 12F tube holds 12 flowlights.

Want to use the flowtoys connect app? You'll need a small hardware bridge to enable your props to talk to your mobile device and vice versa.
We have 2 options for bridges:
- Pocket bridge comes with its own power bank and can be used when you're out and about.
- USB bridge is great for home use. Just plug into power via usb.
