Fan grip options
Doodlegrip: A tech grip developed by the innovative fan artist known as Doodle (history below) specifically for technical fan manipulation. If you want precise control and like to do more challenging moves, this is the grip for you. Intended to fit your 2 middle fingers, so your index and pinky can control the sides of the fan, if you have smaller hands you may want to only leave your pinky out so you have more strength inside the ring.
Ring grip: The Ring AKA “Russian” grip is the oldest and simplest fan grip and is great for flowy fan movement. The large ring enables you to fit your whole hand for maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
Dragon staff shaft options
All options are compatible with all our dragon heads, and most day, glow and fire heads from other makers, including Wizard of Flow, Threeworlds, Flowbonacci, Gora and HoP. As long as it fits outside a 22mm shaft or inside the 19mm ID it should fit.
22mm 1-piece:
This single solid piece of 22mmOD x 19mm ID carbon fiber with silver sheath is the most rigid and lightweight option and comes with the amazing foamed-silicone nimbus grip from Dark Monk.
22mm collapsable shaft from Threeworlds:
This three-piece shaft is super solid and reliable, with Threeworlds' patented locking mechanism for an instant but totally secure connection, and carbon fiber internal tube that will never bend or warp and is hand-tuned for a perfect fit with no wobble. Comes with the amazing foamed-silicone nimbus grip from Dark Monk.
Dragon staff length - how to choose
The exact length of a dragon staff is not as critical as many other flow props, but in order to do “inside” moves, it should be about the length from the top of your sternum to the floor. This is long enough to do everything else and feels great. It is shorter than what most people are used to, but there is no fire to keep away from ;) If you are unsure, err on the longer side, you can always cut it down later.

Bridge for connecting to the app:
Want to use the flowtoys connect app? You'll need a small hardware bridge to enable your props to talk to your mobile device and vice versa.
We have 2 options for bridges:
- Pocket bridge comes with its own power bank and can be used when you're out and about.
- USB bridge is great for home use. Just plug into power via usb.
