The main differences between this "vision contact staff XL" and the "vision contact staff" are the amount of light and the playable shaft length. The more lights, the shorter your shaft length and vice versa. The XL is designed for maximum light output - great for stage performance, or if you just like lots of light :) The vision contact staff has a longer playable shaft and is more rigid.

15mm vs 18mm carbon fiber shaft diameters
The advantage of a thinner / smaller diameter shaft is mostly in how it rolls along the body: the smaller diameter must rotate more times to travel the same distance, and it has a higher rolling resistance, which both lead to slower travel, which some people prefer for a slower movement flow.
A larger diameter head and/or flowers will also slow down the travel / roll. We’ve found 15mm to be the thinnest shaft that is still rigid enough to not be too bouncy. Adding flowers greatly reduces bounce by absorbing it.
The advantage of a thicker / larger diameter shaft is mostly that it is stiffer and less bouncy. The larger diameter also travels / rolls along the body faster, which some people prefer for faster movement flow. We’ve found 18mm to be the “point of diminishing returns” when it comes to stiffness. Any thicker doesn’t make much practical improvement to stiffness, and starts to feel bulky and roll too fast.

Shaft Tape Colors
Composite staffs' carbon fiber shafts come wrapped in high-quality holographic deco tape. Choose from 4 available tape options each featuring its own unique color & optical effects:- classic: a classy silver prismatic tape
- firefly: a shimmering green & gold holographic tape
- spirit: a lustrous, iridescent soft purple & cyan tape
- white tiger: pearlescent base overlaid with a silvery cat eye pattern that is ultra reflective
Bridge for connecting to the app:
Want to use the flowtoys connect app? You'll need a small hardware bridge to enable your props to talk to your mobile device and vice versa.
We have 2 options for bridges:
- Pocket bridge comes with its own power bank and can be used when you're out and about.
- USB bridge is great for home use. Just plug into power via usb.

I have not been able to put this thing down, the lights are amazing and the pictures and videos it produces are out of this world.
I ordered it in a 6ft to match my Bo staff length because of that it took a little longer, however customer service was amazing and when I contacted them I had my staff within the week.
This was so incredibly worth every cent, and telling everyone exactly where I got it.
Literally the only thing I dont like is the charger port, just wish there was a cap there to secure the charging port and make it easier to plug in, otherwise 10/10 reccomend for everyone. -

Best 3D lighting
I have so much fun with this prop the lighting is amazing. Syncing to a 2.0 capsule is great fun as well to hand it off to people to make it a ton of fun.
It is very durable and handles well. I got a custom length of 66" and it works well.
I have not tried traveling with it yet so I'm not sure how it travels on planes, but so much fun. Flowtoys has done it again with an amazing product!!
