The vision dart is durable, but there's a lot of sensitive electronics at the end of a very long tether and nothing is indestructible. This dart is amazing for performance, but is not meant to take repeatedly impacts on hard surfaces. We are still determining the limits during this beta phase. We do not recommend this dart for beginners.
Vision darts were first released with the spin16 version. We developed new vision boards at the end of 2019 to enable a shorter version with a smaller dart head.
Spin9 and Spin16 refer to the corresponding firmware versions, as the patterns are mapped to the length of the vision core.
Spin9 provides a more precise dart, but has less light output.
They're both terrific - you can choose the one that better meets your needs! Feel free to check in with us if you need guidance :)
0.25" (6.5mm) 12-strand braided polyester rope, specifically designed for poi, darts, puppyhammers and other tethered props. It's supple and has better abrasion and sunlight resistance than nylon and MFP ropes used in many other props. It won't shrink, has lower stretch, and higher breaking strength. It can be cut with scissors, and you can melt the ends to prevent fray.
A light-weight, no-stretch 100% cotton braided cord recommended by the Rope Dart Academy for optimal dart use. This #6 cotton cord maintains consistent grip even with sweat, and after a brief initial break-in period, offers the ideal amount of friction for dart use for a long time compared to alternatives. Features a 3/16" diameter. Each foot weighs ~2g.
We recommend getting discounted a capsule 2.0 remote to navigate and perform more complex functions that require a lot of button presses. Plus it’s fun to hand the remote to someone else, while you’re spinning, so they can VJ your modes.
