Flowtoys magnetic club knobs are designed for maximum flux (magnetic force) and contain 2 x 1” x 1/8” countersunk Neodymium magnets. The polarity is reversible and you can remove one magnet to reduce the weight and strength:
A word on warranty:
We cannot warranty the magnet as there are no appropriate shatterproof magnets. If you break a magnet, you can order more from the club parts category (soon), or from your preferred magnet source.
The knob's magnets are a N42 Strong Neodymium Magnet with the following dimensions and polarity:
There are many potential combinations of polarity possible, but most of them would require keeping track of which club is which. To make them universal, we have chosen South pole for the caps (not reversible) and recommend North for knobs, so all caps attract all knobs, but repel each other, so you can not connect cap to cap, but the knobs DO attract each other quite well on the sides and you can even hang 3 clubs by their knobs from the knob of a fourth!
Warning about replacing club knobs:
In order to maximize the amount of light near the knob, the screw is very short and can easily be stripped out. Please be careful to use great force when screwing the knob in (you read that right - use force). You should be pushing it in hard, while screwing so it does not act like a drill. Be sure to screw it in deeply/firmly, so it does not easily rip out during use.
Minimize how often you replace the screw/knob. It is not intended to be swapped out frequently. While we have had success with 20+ replacements, it will eventually wear out the hole and the club will need to be sent in for servicing.
Please ONLY use the screw that comes with the flowtoys club knob - other screws may be too long and may drill through the circuit board and damage the top LED. Please note that we cannot warranty your board in full if this happens.
The knob's magnet is a N48 Strong Neodymium Magnet with the following dimensions and polarity:
