We built out our first flowspace in 2008, making props and supporting community, hosting guests artists and teachers, and inspiring the creation of other such spaces in the US and beyond.
In 2014, we moved to a new space, building it out over the span of 3 years. In addition to the flowtoys office & production rooms, flowspace 2.0 has evolved to comprise a stunning movement studio, our 3D-printing lab, a fabrication hub housing several other makers, including a lasercutting & CNC service, and a soon-to-be flow arts & juggling retail shop.
That's our iconic movement and media studio in the photo :) We really wanted to "make the warehouse disappear" and Sean and Prisna designed the studio to hide every beam and rafter, while providing concealed and diffused lighting throughout the space.
If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, feel free to contact us for a visit, or attend one of our community events.
