Double-braid polyester rope custom-made for flowtoys by the manufacturers of VPC generally recognized as the best rope for contact poi, tossing and other advanced poi manipulation.
FPC is basically identical to VPC, but with a meltable polyester core for easier assembly and modification. FPC’s perfect balance of thickness, suppleness, stiffness and lack of stretch give it tight but forgiving response, you can still do tangles and wraps but it slows them down a little and makes catches easier. The ends can be melted to create attachments and prevent fraying (unlike VPC).
Great for slower styles, forgiving and easy to handle, many people upgrade to this rope as their practice advances. Also recommended for beginners.
Want to use the flowtoys connect app? You'll need a small hardware bridge to enable your props to talk to your mobile device and vice versa.
We have 2 options for bridges:

These are an excellent upgrade choice from the pods. I probably wouldn't recommend these for beginners as the pods are far more forgiving when bonking yourself or the occassional oblivious bystanders. The pods are still a great prop and much more affordable. It's better to look good with a slightly less flashy prop than by a shining slopfest lol. Anyway, about the Visions!! These look absolutely amazing. The balance is very nice when paired with a set of V2 handles, the 10mm VPC and flowmass. The weight of the head is not much different from the pods. Gunslingers in particular are a treat with these. A little pricey, yes. But if you've been spinning for a while and feel ready to add some lumens and new patterns to your performance, I would totally recommend making the investment. Happy spinning!
I ordered the spin16 after years of having a podpoi v1, and I was worried that it might be too big, but after a short getting used to it, it's just great.
I spin for fun and not professionally but for "classic style" and not "contact style" the shape and weight are just perfect.
I found mine to be most comfortable with a single mass adder and I didn't need two so the pod isn't too heavy but has an added mass near the edge.
And there is nothing to say, the colors and patterns are simply amazing.
I didn't really make playlists, but if you go through the patterns there are so many cool patterns to save to your favorites.
Although it is much harder in the tube and tip than the podpoi ,the construction is really good and I expect it to last a long time.
Last year I purchased a set of the Spin9 with double flow mass and I've been loving it. The vision poi have become my go-to poi for nights out spinning with friends, different events, and have done well for some of my gigs. I can go and spin them with confidence knowing that the battery will last all night (depending on the mode and brightness).
At first, after spinning a friend’s set of Spin9s, I was concerned about how light they were going to be. That was put to rest after adding the flow mass. They make them the perfect weight without taking away from the brightness or patterns of the poi.
The vision poi are super durable! This is to be expected when buying from Flowtoys; they make some quality props. There's less of a worry about the Vision Poi breaking when practicing or letting a newbie/stranger spin them when I’m out and about. They're a pretty sweet set of poi with plenty of attractive and customizable settings so it happens fairly often. I’ve had them for almost a year, but I’m sure I’ve yet to touch half of the modes. Not because of I don’t want to, but there are some great modes that I find myself returning to.
The only thing I would do differently and suggest to others: Get the FPC conversion. The basic rope is okay, but it’s flimsy and I continue to have mixed feelings about the rope.
10/10 Flowtoys
I bought the Spin9 set with flow mass and the FPC conversion kit. The spin9's feel just like day poi when flowing. The colors and modes look amazing, and are easy to save in your favorites. The FPC feels just like VPC but super easy to work with, simply melt the ends, easy to install swivels or adjust your length. Thank you Flow Toys for the amazing props and customer service!!
I'm not sure how I'm the first to review these after over a year and a half. But these are amazing and likely the last pair of poi I will buy unless Flowtoys comes out with something better suited for me.
TL:DR; at the bottom
I purchased 2 sets of these and had them converted into a single symmetrical "nunchaku" style props. I put in my specifications and they were delivered exactly to my measurements.
These things are TOUGH! I'm not a rough or heavy spinner, but drops, hard contacts, etc happen and these have shrugged off everything I've given them without so much as a wince; Sand grass, concrete, wood, tile, and all. The caps keep them pretty well sealed and sand out. While I don't normally let beginners spin these, more so they hurt more if you hit yourself or someone else, I wouldn't be worried about them damaging the cases or internals/lights inside.
The lights and patterns are beautiful. If you are just using the V1s or V2s with only 2 LEDs per side, these have 18 per side. With all of the extra LEDs, it really paints a fuller picture of the pattern. Currently there are 3 "Pages" of light patterns with 8 - 12 different settings per page, but you can save custom setups for each unit on the 4th page. There is also a secret page with ~50 experimental and custom patterns. This is where I spend most of my time spinning. Over the time I've used these, there have been several firmware updates that have improved the functionality of these as well as my happiness.
Also these lights can get BRIGHT! Like "Why is the Sun yelling at me!?" bright. Obviously at full brightness, the battery life will be shorter. Maybe 3-6 hours depending on brightness. I usually keep my lights on 1 or 2 out of 5 when practicing by myself or walking around shows/festivals and then turn them up performing with/for others. I can usually get 1.5 days worth of spinning depending on settings in between charges. Your mileage may vary. If I had to give a con to these, it would be the price/battery life as with the V1s and V2s I could leave them on for pretty much a full festival weekend and still have charge on them when leaving without a charge. But what can you expect when its using 9 times the LEDs. As this is a superior product, the price also reflects that. While I could not of afforded these when I first started spinning, I'm at a different place in life where I can and I know spinning poi has helped me to reach that.
Overall I would say get these Poi. There the best I've ever had plain and simple. I've spun lots of different poi from various friends and people I've met over the years. Some get brighter, some you can upload custom images to, others have cooler patterns, but of all those, these Vision poi get more right overall compared to those others, but in a sturdier package. What those others may do better in a single area, the Vision poi, the difference is very small in my opinion.
To top it all off, Flowtoys has the best warranty ever. I've heard too many sob stories of people buy expensive lights and when they break, they are out of luck, or expected to spend a good chunk of change in order to have it repaired/replaced. I've been using flowtoys since 2013 starting with the V1s, then the V2s, and These and anytime I've had an issue, it has been resolved without any pain or frustration.
TL:DR;
Pros:
Very sturdy product
Bright
Beautiful patterns and lights
Easy to use and switch between modes, settings, and pages
Cons:
shorter battery life. (As compared to Capsules with 1/9th the LEDs)
More expensive
