cork yoga mat :: i dream of props

I've been wanting a mat that has markings for visual reference for alignment, and was also wanting a design that I really resonated with. The thought, love, and care put into the creation of this mat created just that for me. I absolutely love the feel. So soft, almost like velvet, but it still grips well. Love the naturally sourced product, and the biodegradability is awesome. The bag it comes with is the best I have seen based on my opinions and personal style. :)

As soon as this product was announced, I wanted one. But I've fallen for mats before, and never bit. I am super picky about products, and I already OWN an eco-friendly mat made out of organic cotton that was really more like a rug with no traction at all. I had been test driving other mats for the past 9 years or so, looking for something eco-friendly, thick and sticky enough for me to neither feel like I was sinking in or sliding off.

When I first unpacked it, I honestly had NO IDEA a YOGA MAT could feel this good. I love the design, I find myself connecting to the heart-shaped design with EVERY down dog, and all of the designs support me in placing my hands and feet for various postures, helping my alignment. The surface is easy to grip without effort but also feels, dare I say, buttery?

I'm in love. I had actually fallen out of my yoga practice because it was so uncomfortable trying to stay on my organic cotton mat. Thrilled to say my practice is back on, and it's now much harder to get me OFF my mat than ON it! Thank you flowtoys!
