Flowgeng Design

Inspired by the shapes of buugeng and other S-staffs, Flowgeng are the result of 8 years of experimentation with the intention to improve on previous S-staff designs and provide an ideal flow tool. Short enough to perform inside the arms, the curve glides smoothly on a single path.

Buugeng & S-staffs are performance props designed to play on the human eye's persistence of vision, creating the optical illusion of motion blur via rapid movement despite slow manipulation. Flowgeng's overlapping curves and unique cut-out patterns will mesmerize your audience with beautiful visual patterns, as well as the additional optical illusion of stripes along a path of motion!

Flowgeng are handmade in South Africa by Flow DNA from super strong aviation grade birch plywood and feature rounded, smoothed edges that slide comfortably in your hand. Rare earth magnets are flat for smooth slide action and solidly connect each Flowgeng half. A center magnet connection allows for convenient folding & unfolding action during performance.

Durability

While this aviation grade birch plywood will not break unless you try really hard, we do not recommend juggling on harsh surfaces like bricks and concrete, as repeated drops will cause marks on the edges of your flowgeng.

Flowgeng are made by our friends at Flow DNA and come with a 60-day manufacturers' warranty on defects. As long as they're not physically damaged (e.g. water damaged), it will be a free replacement for the parts that are not working. These items do not qualify for upgrade credit.
