full vision® LED staff: 22mm

It was love as soon as I took it out of the box, need I say more… Best $$$ ever spent. I can’t believe I was on the fence for as long as I was before making the purchase.

Honestly I was a little nervous of the durability of these staffs due to the warning about dropping them on gravel. After years of use I haven’t had any issues with them breaking despite countless drops. The modes all look fantastic although I do have some gripes on how the random mode generation works

This was a staff I was looking at for a while before I finally decided to buy one and I waited almost a year to write a review on because I wanted to see how I felt after a while and I gotta say, this is hands down the coolest staff I have ever bought! The amount of light settings it has and it goes beyond just colour, the lights and patterns jump off the staff as you spin, creating a very awe inspiring show. I love that everything is customizable and when you find the patterns you like and set the colours that you love to them it is very easy to set these to one of your favourites so you can easily find them in the future! But I have to say beyond ALL of the cool lights! The best thing about this staff is the way it feels in my hand! Everything about it from the second I took it out of its box! It felt like Harry's wand selecting him lol everything about this staff is perfect! Is has great weight, the whole shaft has gripped rubber so its much easier to do some contact spinning :) it is a very firm staff too so there is no wobble at all as you spin! It really is a great buy! Every time I pick it up I am reminded why it was worth the little extra money.

Side note: if you do get one, get a remote with it. Makes it much easier to navigate :D

I was a little hesitant when considering purchasing the staff because of the price, but I've owned the staff now for over 5 months. It can certainly take a beating while delivering a dazzling display of patterns woven together by color and bright LEDs. In this review, I'll talk about a few different things that I would want to know before spending $500+ on a light up toy; starting with the "bad":

1) LEDs; 3/5 stars. Don't get it twisted, the light shows and the lights themselves are amazing, but the firmware can be a little frustrating at times. I cannot emphasize this next point enough: buy the capsule remote. The capsule remote allows you to sync with the LEDs on the staff and control them. There are so many different color/pattern combinations and while there are buttons on either end of the staff to cycle through the modes, they're really difficult to press, let alone hold. Assuming you purchase the capsule remote, you have access to a bunch of different modes and lighting effects, but you have to access everything with a single button on the remote. You're given a handout which explains how to cycle through each mode, but it's a bit confusing to understand at first. I don't know how difficult incorporating a two-dimensional remote into these products would be (one button to control patterns/modes and a second to control the brightness/colors), but I hope there is something like that in production in the future.

2) Price; 4/5. It's hard to justify spending over $500 on a staff, but after buying and having it for a while, I feel I can rest easy. The full board vision staff is worth every penny. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.

3) Durability; 5/5 stars. The full board vision staff is tough. I must have dropped it dozens of times on grass, carpet, dirt, hardwood, and even pavement. I understand that if I'm dropping it on concrete more often than not, it will begin to wear down as anything would if you're spinning it really fast. Nothing lasts forever, but the silicone wrapping provides enough shock resistance to keep the lights on and keep the show going.

4) Weight/Feel; 5/5 stars. The staff practically spins itself. I originally thought the staff was too short, but once I became used to spinning, it only feels more and more natural. The weight is just right too. It is a bit heavier than it looks for its size, but I see that as an advantage. More weight = more momentum carried round and around.

All in all, this is a well-made product. It is fun to spin on my own during the day, and I never get tired of seeing peoples faces light up when I bust my staff out after the sun's gone down. It's not perfect, but there is some sweet nectar in knowing most of the problems I have is with the firmware, which is upgrade-able and ever-changing. Plus the lifetime warranty with only some restrictions is pretty sweet. You have my recommendation for the full board vision staff.
