Featuring many improvements

• 18mm diameter shaft: Stiffer, sturdier and more comfortable that previous 15mm diameter (contact us to upgrade or match older versions if needed).
• Pop'n flow connector: More rigid and durable than our previous button connectors, and more modular for more prop combinations!
• Capsule bumpers: Better vibration damping and super robust, a rubber bumper ring on the capsule replaces the fragile diffusion layer on previous models.
• Blade button is in the cap: Easy button access at the cap of the blade instead of requiring removing the blade and relying on wireless syncing with the pommel (they still also sync!).

15mm vs 18mm carbon fiber shaft diameters

The advantage of a thinner / smaller diameter shaft is mostly in how it rolls along the body: the smaller diameter must rotate more times to travel the same distance, and it has a higher rolling resistance, which both lead to slower travel, which some people prefer for a slower movement flow.

A larger diameter head and/or flowers will also slow down the travel / roll. We've found 15mm to be the thinnest shaft that is still rigid enough to not be too bouncy. Adding flowers greatly reduces bounce by absorbing it.

The advantage of a thicker / larger diameter shaft is mostly that it is stiffer and less bouncy. The larger diameter also travels / rolls along the body faster, which some people prefer for faster movement flow. We've found 18mm to be the "point of diminishing returns" when it comes to stiffness. Any thicker doesn't make much practical improvement to stiffness, and starts to feel bulky and roll too fast.

Martial saber: Designed to be used like a traditional sword, with the balance point on the blade near the handle for powerful swings.
Contact saber: Designed for contact-staff style moves, with the balance point near the middle of the extended handle.

Bridge for connecting to the app

Want to use the flowtoys connect app? You'll need a small hardware bridge to enable your props to talk to your mobile device and vice versa.

We have 2 options for bridges:

• Pocket bridge comes with its own power bank and can be used when you're out and about.
• USB bridge is great for home use. Just plug into power via usb.
