Custom lengths

We do our best to match your requested length exactly, though some variation cannot be reasonably avoided. Poi leash tends to shrink a little over time - we aim to meet your requested length at a minimum, and it could be ~5mm longer. We take extra care to ensure that all poi in a set are as close to the same length as possible, though ~2mm variation is possible.

If you require tighter tolerance than this, we recommend you purchase enough leash to make at least two attempts yourself. Making very small adjustments to the leash length is very difficult, because the melted end breaks down with re-heating and needs to be cut off, which makes the lash at least 5mm shorter. Since the leash can shrink by more than that over time, we recommend you start a bit longer. Small variation in leash length is hard to feel/notice, and the lengths of all poi in a set matching is more important than the overall length of the set.

You can fit up to 65g of washers in an element knob if you allow the melted end to stick out. or 50g (about 14 washers) if you keep it flush.

  Note: Washers come with some variance in their weights, so there might be slight variation in knob head weight, even if you have the same number of washers in each.

10mm FPC

• custom-made, similar to VPC
• great for poi, darts, puppyhammers and other tethered props
• supple, yet stiff
• low stretch
• can be cut with scissors, ends can be melted to prevent fraying
  Note: FPC (like VPC) can shrink up to 4cm (1.5"), though probably less than that, and usually in the first few months of use. The shrinkage is due to the internal fibers shifting until they settle into a more stable state. We recommend you start with 1" longer than your ideal length.
