Poi Head Length:
- Vision poi were first released with the spin16 version. We developed new vision boards at the end of 2019 to enable a shorter version with a smaller poi head.
- Spin9 and Spin16 refer to the corresponding firmware versions, as the patterns are mapped to the length of the vision core.
- Spin9 provides a more precise poi spinning experience, but has less light output.
- They're both terrific - you can choose the one that better meets your needs :)
Leash Cord:
6mm rope
- 0.25" (6.5mm) 12-strand braided silver polyester rope
- great for poi, darts, puppyhammers and other tethered props
- supple, better abrasion & sunlight resistance than nylon and MFP ropes
- no shrinkage
- low stretch
- can be cut with scissors, ends can be melted to prevent fraying
10mm FPC rope
Double-braid polyester rope custom-made for flowtoys by the manufacturers of VPC generally recognized as the best rope for contact poi, tossing and other advanced poi manipulation.
FPC is basically identical to VPC, but with a meltable polyester core for easier assembly and modification. FPC’s perfect balance of thickness, suppleness, stiffness and lack of stretch give it tight but forgiving response, you can still do tangles and wraps but it slows them down a little and makes catches easier. The ends can be melted to create attachments and prevent fraying (unlike VPC).
Great for slower styles, forgiving and easy to handle, many people upgrade to this rope as their practice advances. Also recommended for beginners.
Flowmass:
- You have the option of adding flowmass for extra weight.
- Each mass adds 30g to your poi head.
- You can only add 1x mass to spin9s, and up to 2x mass for spin16s.
Bridge for connecting to the app:
Want to use the flowtoys connect app? You'll need a small hardware bridge to enable your props to talk to your mobile device and vice versa.
We have 2 options for bridges:
- Pocket bridge comes with its own power bank and can be used when you're out and about.
- USB bridge is great for home use. Just plug into power via usb.
